Listen to former IowaWatch reporter Katie Kuntz and IowaWatch executive director-editor Lyle Muller talk on Michael Libbie’s Nov. 19 KRNT radio program about “Breaking the Cycle: Addiction in the Heartland” and IowaWatch in this podcast:

A recent report shows methamphetamine usage and the potency of the drug available have increased, as have the number of children found to have illegal drugs in their systems. Children of meth users are at greater risk of adopting the drug themselves, raising concerns about future generations

Two IowaWatch forums based on the documentary “Breaking the Cycle: Meth Addiction in the Heartland” will seek solutions to Iowa’s cycle of meth abuse.

The forums, which will be held in Des Moines and in Iowa City on Nov. 19 and 20, will begin with a screening of the documentary followed by a panel discussion and question-and-answer session with the audience.
