The number of Iowa Medicaid recipients “locked-in” to using one doctor, one pharmacy and one hospital to prevent prescription drug abuse has increased sevenfold from 200 in 2010 to 1,430 in January. Officials say the program saved the state $14.8 million between July 2010 and September 2012 in the cost of drugs and doctors' visits.
